A new born baby

Sure, why not. But you might want to run it by a few people before giving it to the child. I'm not normally one to suggest letting people see your name ideas, but with a unique name, other's ideas and first impressions are helpful. They might see something you don't. Just make sure the people you ask will be nice about it, instead of saying its awful and pushing their favorite names down your throat!

It is okay to make up names for your baby, I did twice. Just remember that as they get older and want to find a job employers may try to discriminate based on the name. Spelling is also tricky when it comes to making up names.

Make up a name for their name, or like a nickname for them?

**For the naming them, you name then whatever you want, because that is your child, and anything that is unique is the best!**

**For the nicknames, of course it is, as long as it's not something that he/she would get made fun of in the future.

I have a little girl, and i call her cheeks because she has fat cheeks, and my best friend calls her sweet pea because she looks like the baby sweet pea off of popeye.

It's alright to me at least! You do what you please. just make sure it won't be an embarrassing one later on in the future!! :)**

Yes it is perfectly fine it your baby so whatever name you want you name your baby that. And who cares what anyone else says if they think it is weird its not like they have to live with it. So good luck.

Guess it would depend on what you have in mind...
Something like Jenessa or Janessa, that combines two names, sounds good and is somewhat unique. But some 'names' people come up with just don't sound like they should be a name.

Yeah ya can, but you want to think about a few things.
1- does it flow with your last name
2- it is a name that can be shortened into a nick name...and will that nick name be good or bad.
3- is it a name that he/ she is gonna want for the rest of their lives and will they dislike you when they get older.

Sure why not. It is your baby. Your baby when he grows up will think he is special because you choose a different name.

Yup, but remember that some people may think its crazy because it sounds really odd hearing a name they've never heard before.
