Queen aren't bad, but they clearly had their limitations. I think that largely nowadays they probably are over-rated, simply because people feel the irritating need to apologise for the fact that Freddie Mercury is dead. That happens so often. Someone dies and suddenly 50% of their detractors are immediately big fans, or at least change their opinion to one less negative. Let's face it, Queen did produce some great songs, but equally churned out some absolute shite. And as for We Will Rock You - well, let's not go into that because it isn't Queen. At best it's Karaoke Queen with a naff plot by a 'Comedian' who's obviously lost any talent he had in the 80s and should retire for all our sakes.
Hmmm. Must stop ranting about that - people may begin to think I'm a bit weird.

Naw, its not just you. I've never understood the big adulation over Queen, I loved their fist album & liked the second one & after that, except for a couple of songs it was one big yawn for me. And I know that I'm in a tiny minority here but Bohemian Rhapsody is and always has been an overblown piece of nothing.

queen was one of the most important parts of rock and roll history! i have never seen another performer with the same captivating stage presence as freddie mercury, he was an amazing artist that touched the hearts of millions. queen's vocalists had incredible harmonies, and their legacy has stood the test of time. they are, in a word, epic. you may not enjoy their type of music, but you should respect them for the major impact that they have made on the face of music.

Queen at Freddie Mercury's time can never be over rated, I don't mean it's just you who thinks so, but that doesn't mean you should be right.
But now, well, they are not the Queen I used to know.

Queen are SO over-rated. I can't stand them. They have one or two songs which are nice, but overall it's always the same thing.
I thought I the only one that changes the radio station, when Queen are on.
And I can't understand music these days. The singer dies ages ago, and the band is still here? Freddie Mercury was a major for the group. He dies so the rest of the band. I hate CDs post-mortem.
I'm not alone anymore. Thank you! Thank you!

Freddie Murcury was the genius behind Queen. His death was a big loss to the music world. so much incredible music will not be written. When he was alive, their music combined pure classical elements with hard rock. amazingly wonderful!
