From yesterday's presidential radio address:
("One freedom that defines our way of life is the freedom to choose our leaders at the ballot box. We saw that freedom earlier this week, when millions of Americans went to the polls to cast their votes for a new Congress. Whatever your opinion of the outcome, all Americans can take pride in the example our democracy sets for the world by holding elections even in a time of war.”)
We should be “proud” that the federal government didn't cancel our elections? We should be “proud” that the current administration didn't use the war as an excuse to interrupt the democratic process?

"CommonSense" If there wasnt any "thought" of cancelling the elections, than why did Bush mention it in a highly scripted address?

Given that we are not legally "at war" (as defined by federal and the Constitution), Bush was again talking out of his ash .......
The very fact that Bush is deluded enough to think that there is any way elections could have been canceled, when the Constitution mandates elections (war or not) just shows how dangerous he is....
And the very fact that Bish is stupid enough to fail to realize that there is no legal state of war (which can only be declared by Congress, and hasn't been) shows either his utter disrespect for the rule of law, or just how brain-damaged he is regarding what he thinks the government is allowed to do.
Both are yet more examples of why Bush is too dangerous, too clueless, and too criminal to be allowed to remain in office.

Is Obama nontoxic? Yes. Are the principles of your executive powerful? Yes - the federal government is more potent than ever. But your financial system is burdenned by way of that identical executive. If the individuals are extra revolutionary, expert, effective and aggressive than individuals of all different nations, then it's regardless of that executive. The basics McCain is speakme approximately are not anything to do with executive. Greater executive is a aggressive drawback, a concern to creation and a disincentive to paintings tougher. Obama is nontoxic - and incorrect. He criticised the financial system earlier than the election when you consider that his competitors were strolling it. He is praising it now when you consider that he's strolling it and wishes well morale amongst his staff.

Well, that's an interst.. forget that - it's an idiotic take on the speech.
The pride is that even in the worst of times, like the US civil war, we still have held elections.
You need to get over you small-minded hyper-critical Bush-hatred and let this type of political nonsense go.

There is nothing Bush could so or has said that surprises me at this point. I personally am amazed that he has the brain power to read the note cards his speeches are written on.
It is rather alarming what people seem to be accepting as acceptable behavior in the name of fighting terrorism.
