i am just wondering at how many weeks a baby can be born without having complications due to being premature.i am 27 weeks and with my last pregnancy i started having contractions at this point and was put on meds and bedrest which luckily made him stay put till his due date.i am just worried it will happen again and this time i wont be so lucky.

I go to this great ob/gyn and they have a really resourceful website. Check it out. Click on the link and put in your last period information (u may need to change last period date (+/- a few days) to get a better reading of your scheduled due date ) and it will let u know which date your child will most likely survive if born premature! Hope this puts your mind at ease.

Babies can be born very early with the advances in medicine but babies are supposed to be in as long as possible. Every pregnancy is different so I would try to relaxe a bit! I was worried because of the same thing and my daughter came a day late! I know it's hard but just breath, drink a big glass of water and enjoy your quiet(er) lol time.

Anywhere from 36 weeks of Gestation to 40 weeks of gestation. Don't worry everything will be fine.

I have had 2 babies and i believe that the risk of complications drops significantly by 34 weeks.

most usually 36 weeks, thats the best chances because at that time the lungs are fully developed

36 weeks is considered full term. 40 is the due date.
