Techincally speaking, the Head of Hogwarts in Mustrum Ridcully, the Arch-chancellor of Unseen University in Terry Pratchett's brilliant Discworld books. J K Rowling ripped off a lot of the Harry Potter material from the Discworld series, Hogwarts being top of the list - she merely copied and pasted whole pages of Pratchett's descriptions of Unseen University.

Well it was Dumbledore but now Prof. Mcgonical is going to take over. If the school re-opens. but harry and his friends will probably not return for their 7th year.

well Professor Dumbledore was (until he was killed in the last book put out) - I would assume for the last book of the series that McGonegall will take over, could be wrong though
