I've been sexually active and want to know if it's normal not to have started my period after three days of reminder pills. I've used other protection as well as birthcontrol. Please answer.

Okay I start taking my reminder pills on a wednesday and I dont get my period until saturday or sunday...so see they take a while and it should be llike that every month minus or add a day. But, if your period doesnt start dont freak out and think ur pregnant because it could be that you are on a birth control with too much estrogen which means u wont start your period. Wait until this period is over and if u never get it then call your doctor...maybe u just need lower estrogen birth control pills.

if i can remember...when first starting the pill they really don't take an effect until a month after you started as far as preventing pregnancy. i used to start my period anywhere from 3 to 4 days after i started taking the reminder pills. don't panic you should be fine. sometimes i didn't get it at all when i was taking the reminder pills.

Mine also starts on the 3rd day but I have been on birth control for 2 yrs non stop. It might be that the first month won't be as regular your body is stil trying to get used to it. I would give it a couple of days and then take a test. Next month might be a little regular.

Takes a while for BCP to take affect. And remember that BCP are hormones; so your body may be out of whack. Your body will adjust. I think that some women don't get a period depending on the birth control. Talk to your dr if you don't get a period to make sure you're good to go.

Luck you can take them without getting sick! What type ? They increase your days 21 may become 28. You should use extra protection 3/4 months. I would take a pregnant test just to make sure!

Yes it is normal. My sister in law has her period once every three months, so it can happen. Also if your nervous about it you can prolong it.
