How to cut a ceramic pot in half (vertically) to use as turtle home?

Without a wet tile-cutting saw. Any common way (e.g. to score) and then gently break.

Just bury the pot. No cutting necessary.
Just dig out the dirt to the halfway mark on the pot. Place pot inside the hole then add the dirt you dug for the hole to cover the inside of the pot.

i used a grinder for cuting metal and changed the disc.
It´s noisy and dusty but i did it in 1 min and did not break it
You can even give it a proper finish .
Be warned it´s dusty!!
I used a Hoover while cutting once and it worked!
