How come everyone raves about the female celebs been far too skiny and bad role models, and all the newspapers point out this fact.
But as soon as one of these celebs put on a little weight the papers are first in line to get a picture of them showing a spare tyre hanging over their jeans, then its plastered all over the paper,
with some slogan "look who's been eating too many pies" or something equally corny,
So the celebs can't win their slagged off for been too skinny but the minute they put on some weight their ridiculed, What!!

i agree. we're bombarded with conflicting ideas ALL the time. i know i sure feel like crap about my body 99% of the time because i'm thinking "ahhh i should be as skinny as (insert celeb here)". it's frustrating.

It's all to do with greed - ironically. The famous people want to stay famous so they try anything to be in vogue and the papers want to sell so they want to print what's in vogue. They perpetuate each other. It only takes one person to dress/look differently and the media and other celebs want a slice of it.
Deep down everybody (us, celebs and the press) know what a healthy body should be like. It's about eating right and being fit and that's it. Those who choose to mock and those who choose to starve are celebrity and media obsessed fools.

I agree 100%. It isn't the celebs..I mean, if they wanna be that skinny..then so be it. They aren't postin pics of themselves in mags. Magazines are to blame fully for eatying disorder and self image problems. The media needs to stop!

at the start, perfection does no longer exist. Imperfections exist in each and every physique, no count how good they could look to look exterior bodily. although, i think of Lindsay Lohan is the terrific between all i've got considered. She's suited and narrow and he or she easily eats healthful to get this type of suited shape. yet nonetheless, perfections do no longer exist. we ought to consistently all be pleased with the way we glance and settle for ourselves.

we cant help admiring or aspiring to be like our idols whoever they may be. its human nature after all. but at the end of the day, if some kid makes themselves violently ill to be slim wot can u do? its a viscious circle. parents cant control their kids eating habits past a certain age. if their child is gonna make themsleves sick, the parent wont neccessarily know. its a tuffy alright. and yes its the tabloids to blame!!!!!!

Well they always say, bad publicity is good publicity to stars. Makes them get noticed. Just look at Mel Gibson and Tom Cruise.

by doing this they are basically saying that you cant be too thin you cant be too fat you have to be perfect. even more pressure. i know the media definately effects people but quite frankly i dont want to know these people. Too preoccupied with vanity and whats going on in Victoria beckhams life than concentrating on their own family and friends.

Gossip mags want money and readers=money!
They dont care about the celebs, they just care about their paychecks and circulation.

its the media who make them famous, without it they are like everyone else.. they get paid enough to be centre of attention and its not like they don't want it.. its their job to be interesting and if that means being subject to ridicule so be it
