Here is a link to help you check out how many units are available at stores near where you like. Most of the stores are estimates, but it's probably a good estimate.

There may be hope yet Luckythirteen! Nintendo was scheduled to ship 4 million units world wide by the end of the calender year and they have so far been exceeding in there production estimations. In a report from joystiq Nintendo has indicated the the possibility of building, if not shipping, as many as 11 million Wii consoles by the end of the calendar year!
So what does this mean for you? Well if you don't end up getting your hands on one for launch, its still possible that there will be a future shipment before Christmas, or at least before the end of the year. I hope that this takes some of the angst away!

Your ideal wager is smaller shops that do not promote in-inventory Wiis. massive field shops like ideal purchase, Toys 'R Us, and target promote availability for Sunday mornings, meaning they carry provide back for then... and which means tenting out. GameStop/EB video games are reliable places, and the different electronics keep that would not in many cases promote contained in the Sunday paper. for example, Wal-Mart is an exception to this rule because they do promote, even though it is fairly not on a weekly foundation, a minimum of not round those aspects. in spite of everything, you want to call those shops on a daily basis and ask someone in electronics even as the subsequent shipment of Wiis are coming in. for sure, for this you want lots of loose time (no pesky college or interest getting into your way) and also you want to count on a save clerk to honestly inform you, and also you nonetheless want to be waiting there for the shipment. An hour earlier is almost surely not adequate. Or, once you've the money, really Ebay or Craigslist provide you with the single hundred% assure you're after.

Nope. Even if you did, the people who pre-ordered get there's first. The only way you could pull it off is if you waited like all day and if the person didn't show up, then it would be yours to take.
