Translation
The following is a translation of the song by Sri Aurobindo:

Mother, I bow to thee!
Rich with thy hurrying streams,
bright with orchard gleams,
Cool with thy winds of delight,
Green fields waving Mother of might,
Mother free.

Glory of moonlight dreams,
Over thy branches and lordly streams,
Clad in thy blossoming trees,
Mother, giver of ease
Laughing low and sweet!
Mother I kiss thy feet,
Speaker sweet and low!
Mother, to thee I bow.-

It is a patriotic song. But India is very liberal and people are thinking about their selfish aim to divide the country & rule it over as British people did. Still we aer following the British rule for Indian Police, IAS and all govt. office.
There is nothing it simply shows that we are not educated.

Vande Matram is Hail Motherland personally I think there is nothing offensive about it, but some people think it degrades their religion.
