Some scholars say Poe plagerized "The Raven" from "To Allegra Florence In Heaven" and "Isadore" by Thomas Holly Chivers. Read them and see if you think so too. Then compare the one which you think is most like "The Raven".

I thought a while about this question because it truly intrigued me. I thought maybe the poem on Love by Kahlil Gibran from the collection called "The Prophet". The Raven to me is about lost love, and sadness. I think Gibran touches on that feeling in the poem especially when he says, "Ever has it been that love knows not its own depth until the hour of separation." Check out the poem for yourself and see what you think. http://www.library.cornell.edu/colldev/mideast/propht.htm#Love
