Many countries, too many to bother listing. The major ones were the United States, Great Britain, and the Soviet Union, with help from the Australians and Canadians, against the Germans and Italians in the European theatre (I purposely omit the French as they didn't really have a country at the time except for the Vicci who collaborated with the Nazis). In the Pacific, the United States, with help from Australia, what was left of China, and later the Soviet Union fought Japan.
Other notable nations include Norway, Finland, Egypt, and Algieria (although the last two were more passivly invloved). Many central European countries, like France, Denmark, Poland, and Czeckoslovaki were quickly overrun by the Nazis and so I have not included them, but many of their citizens continued resistence movements. The Austrians pretty much begged Germany to let them join, although they will vehemently deny this now.
