i would say maybe an extension of one of the characters, although the ending sure makes you think there will be....

Sorry I've got to correct you there Daniel- if you watched the last stand then you would know that Xavier was "killed" by Jean Gray/Phoenixx
and after the credits rolled they showed him in a hosptital bed and woke up. He projected himself there with his mental abilities he wasn't actually killed. They have said that the last stand was going to be the last but it generated such buzz that they are already writing the next script. Also a side note the same group of writers are redoing the Hulk. It was such a flop ( I liked it personally) that they are completely redoing the movie due to be released June 2008.

I heard on some entertainment show that the producers said that this would be the last of the "X-Men" movies but that they were planning on making movies about Wolverine.

No Thats why they called the last one "The Last Stand" I bought the trilogy at Wal-Mart for like 30$ . Their won't be a new one because Charles Xavier is dead now he was killed by his militant counterpart called Magneto.

I don't think it really matters. They can't do much more damage to the X-Men franchise. X3 was just pure cr@p!
