Lately, it seems that everywhere I go I see people in pajamas. Sometimes they even have on slippers? Is this a new fashion craze or what?

I don't think it's acceptable I think people are too lazy to get dressed. And no one will call them on it. Kind of like No Shoes,No shirt ,No service...
Baybe it ought to be No Pjs & slippers allowed & Please brush your hair. :)

I was stunned when my roommate started rolling out of bed, not changing or bathing and wearing her flannel PJs out of the house! It just seemed like something from a trailer-park full of inbred cretins who drink beer for breakfast and have a camero up on blocks in the front yard, but there she went, off to work in a dirty t-shirt and PJs and for some reason it wasn't just acceptible, it was something other people were doing as well!

I still think it's a mark of being slovenly and I'd not date a woman who would do this, I'll tell you that!

OK... when I was in college I used to laugh hysterically at all these girls running to classes in their pajamas and slippers yet they have FULL HAIR AND MAKE UP DONE!!! I know pj's are comfy, I won't deny that, but I don't want to see what you where to bed unless I'm getting in it with you! There are plenty of suitable clothes that are just as comfortable as pajamas.

Socially acceptable depending on where you are..generally speaking no. But if you are in a college town it is very common. Lost of people wear PJs to class and the habit spills over into everyday life.

Because their parents have not taught them better. I think people just want to be comfortable. Some pj's are now called loungewear so that gives people the excuse to wear them out in public.

its really been a controversial issue but personally i think people are either comfortable in it or they are just too lazy to get something else on.i av actually seen ppl wearing pjs to school! i think its a crazy idea.i mean its one thing to wear it on the balcony in the morning and its another to wear it out on the streets.really i dont know wat goes thru their minds when they wear it.and it could also be that bcoz the pj is cute, they actually love to wear it coz of the bright colors and all

Well, as usual it's a statement but only for a small percentage of us crazy teens in school.
a.) the school bans it, but a kid gets high grades so just to make a point he/she wears pjs and a bathrobe to school w/fuzzy slippers
b.) pulled an all nighter, and really can't be bothered w/ changing into something more presentable
c.) are lazy sloths who think that pjs are so cut and hip (even though they aren't!)

My husband goes out in pajamas often; in fact, I encourage him to do so. I even drive him around that way.

It makes the transition from his bed at home to his treatments at the oncologist's that much easier on him.

Now, why any able-bodied person would want to appear to be taking radiation therapy is beyond me.

Stupid gits.

It's just comforatable and some pj's are very cute. And, wearing them to school on mondays and fridays is just relaxing, but of course there are some places were they should not be worn...If I wore them I would just wear them to school (high school) or if i had to run to a gas station to get something at like 8 or 9:00 at night. I probably wouldn't wear them to any of my college classes, but I do wear comfy pants.
