Neither. I personally could care less if someone tolerates me or condescends to me. I demand respect for who I am. I want nothing more and will accept nothing less....Period. No discussion. No respect offered will result in no respect given. For myself this is all that is needed.

We shouldn't tolerate that which is wrong, and we should give condescension to that which deserves it.

However, I don't feel that most things that are either 'tolerated' today or receive condescension are deserving of it, such as homosexuality. There's nothing wrong with it at all- it's neutral, in my book, like all sexual orientations, and shouldn't be 'tolerated' nor the object of condescended.

Tolerated, if those are the only choices. But respected would be preferable.

I think common courtesty and respect is even better! But seems this is something that not everyone can comply with!
