From the definition of circumference:
circumference = pi*diameter
OR
circumference = pi*2*radius
Therefore,
radius = circumference/(2*pi)
radius = (50 feet)/(2*3.14159) = 7.96 feet

The formula for find the circumference of a circle is C=πd, and radius is 1/2 the diameter. Since we know the circumference is 50 we can find the diameter

50=πd
d=15.924 ft.

r=1/2(d)
r=1/2(15.924)
r=7.962 feet
