I have heard that one can use a plumb bob tool to find out the truth about something. You draw a circle on a paper, then draw to line in the middle running both ways, then write yes in the top and bottom sections and no in the side sections. Hold the plumb bob over the paper and then ask it a yes/no question. It will swing either back and forth or side to side to answer your question. I tried it. It works! But has anyone else heard of this?

It works especially well when you already know the answer, but can't bring it to your consciousness. Like where is a lost item ... is it in my bedroom ...etc.
On the other hand, when I was very young, I asked a pendulum if I would marry a foreigner. It said yes. Short first marriage was with same nationality (U.S.). But long second marriage is with a Canadian. Coincidence? Probably.
