Let them get married if they want, they're not bothering me. Oh, and for you bible bangers that claim it's immoral...Those are your personal beliefs, not everyone’s. That’s the exact reason this country was founded on the belief of separation of church and state. I’m so tired of you hypocrites that claim to be Christian, and then you’re the first ones to cast judgment onto people. Religion is supposed to teach you compassion and tolerance toward others, not how to alienate people because they don’t share your beliefs.

I think the sovereign nation of South Africa can make any law it wants. It will be interesting to see how it is viewed by the world communiyt. Could it affect tourisn? The World Cup?
to the 'poster below'
I agree, they probably will spend more on the World Cup than on AIDS... perhaps you misunderstood my intention for the remark, and how maybe SA has some misplaced priorities.

It's a good thing IMO.
Too bad they couldn't treat their black citizens a bit better....and tackle their problem with AIDS...instead of ignoring it.
To the poster above: Oh please....SA will probably spend more on preparing for the WC than they will on their problem with AIDS!

I think it's progress. Call it (marriage) what you want but I think there are LGBT people who have better and longer relationships then some heterosexual people and they should be able to obtain health, life insurance, adoption, etc. to protect their families like anyone else.
