I guess is to show off. No self-respecting girl and guy will do a "display" in public.

I agree. Kids are watching but they don't care. I guess it is their way in showing that they control their own lives and will do whatever they want to show that they are responsible and knowing. Yes adults and kids are watching but in reality, parents make out in front of their kids too so whats the big deal. Its just showing the other partner how much they care for eachother. If you dont want to see, either dont look, or find a boyfriend and I guess stop being a little jealous. I understand your point though.

Does it really harm you to see two people kissing?Like if you saw two people making out would it be the equivalent of ramming a dagger through your heart? and yes they do know other people are watching, they are not oblivious to the world around, quite the contrary, they're fully aware of their actions and who's being affected by them.Science finds that teens are in a experimental stage of life, mainly due to their horomones.

Dont you remember being a teen? Your mindset as a teen isnt comparable to as an adult. (Im 26 btw). Of course we know kids are watching but they ARE kids. They dont understans,in general, what the big deal of showing affection is. Some do it bc its exciting and sexy and want to turn on their partners.

Honestly, making out in public is not as bad as it has been. I hardly see it anyways. Besides if the kids dont see it in RL they will see it on tv.

I'm 30, I don't mind if teens make out in public to show their affection.

As long as there are no visible tongues or slurping noises it doesn't bother me, and as far as I know it doesn't bother kids. Why should it?
It's not as if it's extremely common or in anyway harmful or anti-social...

I have better things to worry about like dirty needles lying about and beggars

Hormones - pretty much sums it up!

Come on, we all did it - they're young and in lust, want to learn as much about the opposite sex as they can and their parents won't let them in the house because they don't want them to start having sex. Pure (ish) and simple.

Because they are young and in love. Don't like love? Don't look
