And remember, this has nothing to do with religion. So don't bother answering this question if you're going to talk about religion. The real sin is people who judge others for their sexual preference.

I dont get it either. I think the arguement (which i dont agree with) is that being gay is a sin, so by allowing them to get married we are saying its "ok", etc. This doesnt make sense, becuase in this country we do not make laws based on religious beliefs. thats what makes this country great. People are just afraid of losing control.

LuckyGrl- Not everyone in this country is a Christian, so we can't make laws based on one relgion's beliefs, its america, get it?

It doesn't hurt anyone =) I like your question because I deal with ignorance and ask myself this all the time. I think the BIGGEST problem is people don't want to accept something they don't agree with.. which is fine, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but they need to let people live. If getting married is what makes a gay couple happy, they should have that right like everyone else. Basing my experience on a friend that I have had since I was 5 and he has been gay since he was 5.. you can't help who you love or who you are attracted to. I laaaauuggghh when people bring up religion on this topic because if they are so "Christ" like themselves, they would not judge....

Because a marriage is to be between a man and a woman only. Gay couples can have a commitment ceremony, but not a union blessed by God. Homosexuality is a sin and God will NEVER bless a union of sin.

Yes, Kelly it is America! I am entitled to my opinion and I stated it here, and was jumped on for it. I have gay friends and I love them, and they are aware of my opinion. I didn't say they didn't have a right to be together, I believe they do just not by clergy, i also think they have the right to the same benefits as the rest of society, and our country's laws are based on religious laws, the 10 commandments!! I wish people would respect anothers opinion, this is America isn't it Kelly. Do some research first before you go off spewing about religious laws!!

If you are asking this questions, you already know the reasons.
How will this effect the lives of your children. School is a terrible place when families behaviors and lifestyles are in the forfront . How is it going to effect your parents. They only want the best for you they too have to live with your decision, even when you think it is only effecting you. Your brothers and sisters also are effect.
Talk this over with a priest . The answer is in the word of God

Gay marriage encourages the spread of STDs, breaks down traditional family values, and doesn't exactly result in any future generations. And since you made the comment about judging, when people say it's wrong, they're not judging. They're simply repeating what God said.

nicely i think of you may drop the belief of marrying lower back, with the aid of fact then no person can stay happy, extremely you may talk on your spouse approximately this and tell her to appreciate the area. keep in mind she is your spouse, you have married her and now you cant bypass away her. bearing directly to the different lady, in case you have thoughts for her then permit it is. you cab make her your chum or could be acceptable chum. in this way anybody can stay happy...

Let them live together but don't change the definition of the term 'marriage' to mean something else just to comply with ultra liberal demands.
