It depends on where, how much you had, what you were doing, etc, etc, etc. The more you have the larger the charge. with more than an ounce you can get distribution charges added on. If driving, you can also get a D.U.I. as well. if near government property or a school zone your charges can be doubled or tripled. Be carefull. but Sometimes the cop will just confinscate and warn you.

In New York simple possession of a joint is called Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance(Marihuana) in the 7th degree. It is a summons with a fine. Of course, more weight brings stiffer charges.

Some jail time. HEAVY fines. A record. My ex got busted a year ago and he's still paying for it. 2500 to one court, 450 in taxes on weed. It's expensive and once you get busted, it doesn't go away.

It's usually (depends on how much you are holding) a Posession charge. somewhere between $100-$200 fine, depending on the state.

It depends where you live and who's jurisdiction your in. Its all different. Need to know your state (given your not on federal land).

When I was living in Tn my friend got a DUI and she pled guilty to have it dropped. Another friend got cought in a National Park and just had to mail in a $250 fine.

technically few states have a law defining marijuana use.... most states can only charge for possession........ being under the influence while driving can be charged as a DUI in most states.
