On most men they are approximately the same size. However, it is possible for them to be healthy but noticeably asymmetrical. We biological critters grow from collections of cells. We are not stamped out by machines. Look at your hands. They are similar, but definitely noticeably different.
As far as the age of your doctor goes, keep in mind that the older he is the more experience he has had. He has probably been looking at testicles (in a professional capacity) since well before you were a gleam in your dad's eye. He might just know what he is talking about.
On the other hand, it never hurts to get a second medical opinion, especially when your nads are involved.

Well, your doctor may be old but I am sure he's seen and checked out way more testicles than you have so there's a good chance he's right.
In fact the human body is not perfectly symmetrical. If you do a detailed study of yourself or anyone who will let you, you will find:
a) one arm is longer
b) one foot is bigger
c) one hand is bigger
d) one leg is longer
and the biggie
e) one testicle is bigger.
It's perfectly normal and if you still don't believe, ask your buddies to drop their pants so you can measure all their testicles and discover the truth.

Too old to know? Men have been around for decades and they've all had testicles. Your doctor is correct. Testicles are not always the same size. It is more rare to find a person with the same size testicles than without.
One testicles will always hang lower than the other also. This allows freedom of movement so they do not become pinched

No problem, it is normal for one ball to be larger and usually the left one hangs lower. However if one testicle gets spongy or hard, then it could be a problem. Testicles really have noting to do with urinating, but produce both semen and male hormones.

For guys they are unequal in size. For women - well, you'd have to ask a woman!

I know that one of mine is larger than the other, and I have no problems to report.
I think it is fine, if not normal to have one nut slightly larger than the other.
