I def. think dream effect our emotions. Have you ever woken up from a dream, prehaps a sad or startleing one, and for the rest of the day you feel off. I know any time i dream about my mother dying (which has happend a few times) I feel down all day.

Yes, dreams can influence emotion. If you have a nice dream it might make you happy, if you have a sad dream it might make you sad.
It works the other way, too. If you're happy then you're more likely to dream about something happy. Dreams are manifestations of your subconscious, which means that they come from your thoughts, although you may be unaware that you ever had the thought. Nevertheless, your subconscious is certainly influenced by emotions and dreams, as an extention of your subconscious are similarly influenced.

Dreams are mainly a manifestation of our sub-consciousness. Hmmm... supressed emotions tend to sit in the same place! Many times, when you wake up and find an emotional reaction to a dream it is because your sub-conscious brain has picked up something that your conscious brain missed. Be careful tho!! Sometimes the person in our dream is merely a representation of authority or another figure in your life... for instance, you may dream of your father in a position of power/authority in your job... it is really your boss you are mad at (grin)... not dear ol' dad. Pay attention to the feelings you have while you are dreaming... those are usually what your dreams are trying to sort out.

I think it is the other way around. But, it turns back like a clock.

We dream because there are experience in our life that caused us either sad or happy in dream. However, once we discover or remember our dreams, that goes back to reality to cause us either happier or more sad.

For example, you have experienced something saddness in day time and at night you dream about it. You still remembered it, the next day you will have worse mood. But we can't let dreams control our lives. They are sometimes just reflection of our subconsicous mind.
