"non-comformist teens"?

How come teen who are non-conformists look like their friends? Is it really non conformist if there is a chain store in every mall that sells thier clothes?

Well, "birds of a feather flock together", lol. If you're a small group of hippy types in a mostly preppy school, you'd be a non conformist is the larger community, but not within your smaller group. You do have a point, though, to be truly non-conforming and unique, you'd need to be totally different, and not a product of mass marketed merchandising.
