You either have loose battery connection, weak battery,or starter solenoid is going out.Try tightening the battery cables first,if that doesn't work, hook up a battery charger for a few hours.Bob.(Could also be loose connection where battery cable connects to starter or engine. The cable that connects to engine or frame will be the negative(-),The one that goesa to the starter will be positive(+).Good luck)

Fluttering clicking usually means a weak battery, or bad connection on battery. Sense it cranked first and drove to work and then would not crank, I would say check alternator. Sounds like alternator was not working on your way to work. When the alternator does not charge, the radio, lights, heater motor things like that have to work off of the battery. So it doesn't take long to pull the battery down low enough so that it will not crank the car.

It sounds as if the battery doesn't have the cold cranking that it needs to start. It could have enough power to run lights, radio & stuff like that. I would have the battery checked out. If it's ok, check the starter relay. I had a bad relay that chattered. Check that if battery is OK. Good luck.

Does the engine turn over? Try cleaning and tightening you battery connections frist thing. Then see if you can jump start it.After 20 minutes , remove the negitive battery cable with the engine running. If the engine dies the alt is bad. Hope you have a good Christmas.

in order of cost - loose battery connection or other loose connection between the battery and the starter motor including ground connections. loose belt. bad battery. bad starter relay. bad starter. bad alternator. tests to run- jump the car, if it starts you will need to check the battery connections, the belt, and the alternator. if it doesn't check the rest of the connections, the relay, and the starter. - using a voltmeter test the battery voltage at rest [ 12.8v], while cranking [ 6 to 8v] and while running [14v]. low voltages at rest would show a bad or uncharged battery. low cranking voltage = battery or starter. high cranking voltage = bad connections including relay. low running voltage = bad alternator. at a guess i would say the battery with a bad alternator as my second choice. both are reasonable DIY jobs.

it sounds like the starter solenoid is bad.the first thing i would check is the battery terminals, then see if the wiring is clean and tight on the starter.if iam not mistaken,i believe the solenoid on a dodge is on the firewall.check those things out before going out and spending out a lot of money.

I AM GUESSING YOU SAY NOT THE BATTERY BECAUSE IT IS NEW
DOES NOT MEAN IT ISNT DEAD
IF THE BATTERY IS UP AND THE CONNECTIONS CLEAN AND TIGHT LOOK TO THE STARTER
SOUNDS TO ME LIKE THE BATTERY IS LOW
YOU WILL NEED TO CHARGE IT UP AND HAVE IT TESTED
COULD BE THE ALTERNATOR IS NOT CHARGING THE BATTERY
EITHER WAY IT NEEDS TO BE CHARGED AND TESTED

apparently in line with probability between the axle shafts on the front wheel force broke on the ujoint whilst your wheel grew to become going into the force way. Jack your automobile up...attempt to show the tire/wheel with the automobile in park and the emergency brake set. which will inform you if the shaft is broken and perchance you will hear the broken axle shaft rotating. stable success....in case you have paid towing...tow it to a community vehicle restoration which you believe and get a written estimate of maintenance. stable success.
