Yes, but I don't expect it to happen. The US supports Israel, regardless of what they do. They regularly veto resolutions against Israel in the UN. They support Israel, the 6th richest country in the world, with 1/3 third of all foreign aid. The Pro-Israel lobby is the largest lobbying group in Washington. We are not interested in solutions to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict because it makes our weapons suppliers a lot of money.
We overthrow governments to install democracy, but when Palestine democratically elected Hamas, we refuse to deal with them. The hypocrisy is laughable.
We need to not take sides in the conflict. It is not our fight. Supporting one side while chastising the other is not the way to achieve peace.

IF indeed we could resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, stabilize Lebanon and Iraq, and get Iran and Syria to stop exporting terrorism, we would indeed have made historic progress.
My fear is that none of these aims is achievable with negotiation.
Rightly or wrongly (I think wrongly), the Arabs and Muslims do not accept, and will never agree to accept, a state of Israel in the region. Not without a fight. I hope I'm wrong - Egypt seems to have backed off since Carter's Camp David accords - but I just don't see that region ending its efforts to get rid of the state of Israel, no matter how much land they give up.
If this were WWII, we would be at least making bombing runs into Iran and Syria to halt their supplying of terrorists going into Iraq. There's still the sectarian violence, but this would help.
I don't have answers, and I am not optimistic. I hope I am wrong about all this. But I think things will get much worse before they get better.
God help us.

You know, the United Nations created Israel, and I think it about time they RE-created it. The UN should adopt a resolution establishing the 'green line' 1967 borders for Israel, requiring all Israeli troops to pull out of non-Israel areas, and require them to tear down and, if they want to, rebuild any of their wall that crosses the line.
Then, if Hamas or any other organization in Palestine or Lebanon attacks into Israel, it becomes a matter for UN peacekeepers, not the Israeli army.
The UN giveth, and the UN can darned well taketh away. Israel and Palestine are never going to resolve the issue to their mutual satisfaction. expecting them to work out their differences is like expect fire and gasoline to suddenly start getting along. If there is to be a solution, the outside world will have to impose it and enforce it until it becomes acceptable. And the Palestinians will have to see that the West is as serious about defending it from Israel as defending Israel from Palestine.

It is complicated to inform in the event you honestly suppose the lies that you've reduce and pasted right here. They reek of hatred for Jews and the Jewish state. Let us simply bear in mind one lie, that related to the USS Liberty, in which you've dragged up a different fable! During the Six Day War in 1967, the USS Liberty used to be crusing in Israeli territorial waters and used to be UNMARKED. It refused to spot itself to the Israelis They viewed that this send possibly a warship belonging to the military of 1 to the nations at which it used to be at battle. So, no longer realizing that this used to be an American send, the Israelis attacked it. Right after the assault, the Liberty recognized itself, however by means of then it used to be overdue. The Israelis furnished all feasible aid in treating the injured, and so they even compensated the households of folks who had been alas killed and wounded. This used to be an overly unhappy tale within the members of the family among the 2 allies, the United States and Israel. But the assault used to be in mistakes, the send used to be no longer marked and refused to spot itself, and the Americans understood and accredited the Israeli apology and repayment. To declare something else is solely to fan the flames of animosity and to falsify the information. And that's a plot to hide up the dastardly terror being waged all over the world by means of radical Islamic terror corporations, like Al Qaeda, Hamas, Hisb'Allah and El Aqsa Brigades.

Tony Blair is a weenie...lol
Besides that won't help the situation.....Look what's happening with Golan Heights.....which is under Israeli occupation..("annexation"....yeah right!)..Israel took it from Syria....and now they are encouraging new settlements there!...this land is right next to Lebanon.
Sorry...but I'm tired of Israel always claiming to be the victim..GMAB....when they indeed engage in land grabbing and killing innocent people too!

america and england have no credibility regarding palestine
they blindly support the israeli government in all things and america vetoes and criticism made by the un security council concerning the israeli governments massacre of civilians
america and england should be concerned that much of the world distrusts or even despises them due in part to their complicity in the murder of palestinian civilians
