Why do people close and lock the door when they go to the restroom?

So others don't walk in on them. Some people do not look under the stall door to see if it's occupied.

for privacy. no one wants to see someone else on the toilet! and the person on the toilet doesn't want anyone seeing either!
but when i'm home alone i keep the door open.. cause then theres no reason to close and lock it..

i really enjoy leaving the door open when i go to the bathroom......it makes my friends freak out.....
i've heard somewhere that even when you're home alone you tend to lock the door....i must have heard that and decided to do the complete opposite....
i close the door for number2s though

Because anyone could just bust in. How would u like it if you were a woman. Its that time of the month, your in there handling your personal business and some one catches you in the act???

I don't. I like the odor to waft throughout the house. I think it should be bottled and sold as pefume. I would call it Essence of Stallion.

because some people feel what they are doing is very private and they don't want to be interrupted...or they may have had an experience in their past where they have been walked in on...or they just want everyone else to know that this room is occupied..how's that for some answers??

I do it because there are little kids here and you never know when they will just pop in
