I am 38 weeks pregnant. The other morning (1:00 a.m.) I took my usual trip to the restroom to pee. Mind you, I had been having contractions consistently for days. I returned to bed just in time for another contraction. As I was laying there, I felt wetness around my leg. I looked down to find my underwear soaked in a 4 inch diameter from front to back. I ran to the bathroom to check what had just gushed out of my body. It was not urine. It was odorless and colorless. I proceeded to believe I was leaking amniotic fluid. The next morning my contractions persisted so my husband and I went to the ER. They did a "Bromthymol" test in which the strip was negative for amniotic fluid. So, needless to say, I have not a clue as to what fluid came out of me. I have had increased vaginal discharge, but nothing like this. Any thoughts?

It does sound like amniotic fluid. You have to go back. Are you still leaking? If so, that was definitely it.

I went another week like that feeling very uncomfortable and sore inside, that's the only way I can explain it. I even went to the doctors, but he said my waters hadn't broken! When I went in to labour and had an internal, the nurse could feel the babys head and hair. In the end I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl who is now 16. Good Luck honey. I hope every thing goes OK

I think you need to go back and be retested. That sounds like amniotic fluid leaking to me.

It does sound like amniotic fluid. If you are sure you didn't pee yourself, call your doctor and discuss this with him.

It sounds to me like your water broke. Are you have twins? If not you may have just wet yourself. If you drink alot of water (which I do) then you pee will come out clear and odorless.
