If her body is stiff and she doesn't respond when you touch or speak to her she is gone. Small mammals don't live for very long. Try getting a larger pet, like a guinea pig. They live for a few years. I had them off and on when I was a kid. They are smart too. One that I had used to make that high pitched oinking noise every single time we opened the fridge because she knew we gave her fresh veggies out of there. They are also more fun to hold and play with than mice and hampsters.

Hamsters don't live very long. Between 1 to 3 years. It could be that you're hamster was over 3months old when you had him and he's just died of old age. I hope you get over him soon and maybe get another one.

Ahhh! Poor you! I had two hamster when I was little. One died of fright when it heard the hoover too near her cage and the other one gave the appearance of being dead but in fact he was really cold. Is the cage in a draughty spot or near to the floor? We put the hamster cage and all into the airing cupboard for a couple of hours and when we looked, he was running around in his wheel.
We changed his name to Lazarus after that.

misery loves company. im so sorry for you. i had 2 guinea pigs.. one was 5 and the other was 2. the 5 year old had a tumor on its leg, and suddenly became extremely sick. its eyes crusted shut and i had to put her out of misery. so we put her to sleep. the next day, my 2 year old guinea pig, who has always been healthy, died out of grief. they were close, and she was empty without her friend. it was terrible. but you could get another one if you still want a friend to love. i couldnt get another, because i was allergic to the young one, and if i got one that i was allergic to, i couldnt play with it. so anyway, i hope your pain goes away, and just know that you gained a little angel =D maybe your hamster and my guinea pigs can be friends!

I don't think hampsters go into hibernation. Mabye your Mom and Dad can get you a new one. Death is a tough part of life. Sometimes pets help usher us into having to deal with this, but don't worry, you will feel better soon.
