Check out the Honey Badger, they are without doubt the hardest mammals on this planet. They were even listed in the guiness book of records as the most fearless. Check out the link.

The Elephant is the deadliest land mammal for its size, whereas the deadliest sea going mammal is the Killer Whale,also known as the Orca.

My money is on the Polar Bear - they actually hunt humans :-)

I wouldn't say Man either, as I'd rather face ANY single man, no matter how trained a killer he is, than a Polar Bear.
