how many glasses are there? how much cordial does sam have?

the ratio 12:1 means that there must be 1 part of cordial to 12 parts water.

so 1 glass @ 200ml / 13 = 15.38ml

cordial would be 15.38ml
water 184.62ml

its been along time since i've done this type of homework.

we need to know how much cordial Sam has.

**IF** Sam has 1000ml (1000ml = 1 litre) of cordial, then she dilutes this with 12,000ml of water, giving 13,000ml in total.

So then 13,000ml would fill 65 glasses (as 13000/200 = 65)

**obviously** this will change if she has more or less undilided cordial

This is impossible to answer without knowing how much cordial there is to begin with.
