Sounds to me like you have very oily skin...
no matter what foundation or makeup you use, you're going to have shine... but it can be minimized.
First, you should be using a gentle cleanser on your face twice a day (morning and night)... maybe something like a Neutrogena or Basis facial wash (unless you want to spend lots of money and go the department store route).
Second, you need to use a good facial moisturizer like Neutrogena Moisturizer for combo skin at least once a day (preferably in the morning before you apply your foundation).
Third, you need to use a good quality makeup that is transfer-resistant... like Revlon ColorStay. I use have been using the Revlon ColorStay brand for many years and it works quite well for me. As much as I love department store foundation, I refuse to pay $35 per bottle for it when the Revlon ColorStay foundation is just as good!
I would say ditch the pressed powder because it just cakes up and gets ruddy and cruddy... and periodically, through out the day, blot your skin with a paper napkin. Again, if your skin is oily, you'll never not shine... but you can reasonbly control it. Good luck!
p.s. don't forget to exfolite 2-3 times per week

2 things are possible:
1. You are using a foundation that is NOT noncomedegenic. Can cause oiliness and breakouts. Only use NONComedegenic products that say so on the label.
2. The more likely, you are using a skincare that does not take good care of your skin. Or perhaps even soap. The only way to control oil is by using a good cleansing system that includes an exfoliant and toner. Also, you will need an oil-free moisturizer. If you have excessive oiliness - especially after foundation - you may need an oil mattifier.
Contact me if you would like more help with this...I'm a Sales Director with MK. Good luck!!!

I always come back to No 7 Amazingling Light Moisturising Lotion. However, my best advice is to cruise the cosmetics counters in a large department store (Selfriges in Oxford St, if you can get there, has the largest cosmetics department in Europe)
Approach the unapproachable looking assistants (who are usually very nice really) explain what you're looking for and ask if she has any samples you can take home to try.
Occasionally they will say "no, sorry," but mostly they will give you a small sample size of the product they recommend. Take them all home and try them one by one - it's the only way !

Hi,
Olay Beauty Fluid is the best for that, it moisturises but it's not greasy. It's cheap as well- about £3.

It could be your foundation, even if it is matt it mite be a bit rubbish.
I personally love Elemis products, you cant beat them.
They are quite expensive though - the absolute day cream costs around 26.00 but they dod do what they say.

Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion is the one. I find its not too oily, yet it gives just the right amount of protection to keep make up going into your pores. It leaves your skin looking lovely too!

Astral.....I've bought loads of different face creams, but Astral is the only one that lasts all day and doesn't give me a shiny face.
But everyone's skin type is different so if you are considering buying this cream only buy a small tub. Its not expensive either.
