Really, is everyone here so blind?
If Jesus never was, in the historical sense, not religious, then several religions would not exist. I don't believe the Romans could have held on to the multi-god religion in its same form. I think a melding of Roman and the other, lesser, religions of Europe would have formed some sort of spiritual/demi-god religion.
This would have moved north, away from the center of the Jewish faith. Perhaps Judaism would have prevailed across Europe but only after a century or so. It seems the non-chaotic view of gods wins out every time.
To think that the world would be chaos without Jesus is to completely ignore Judaism, Hinduism, and Buddhism. Silly at best.

Then those thousands, if not millions, of Christians that Rome killed at the direction of Roman emperors and provincial governors were true crimes against humanity. The pathetic little tirades against Melosovich, Saddam Hussein, and even George Bush should be hushed for these guys were minor-leaguers. We'd be screaming for heads to roll if today's politicians made the same mistakes that Nero and Domitian did if Jesus never was. But then, in actuality, there is more testimentary and documentary evidence for Jesus than half the list of Egyptian pharoahs and almost all of the barbarian kings that gave Rome grief by spilling Roman blood and spoiling Roman cities in antiquity--we think they existed too. What if all of history were a crock (and there is some element of merit in that thought)?

We serve a living God - Even with Jesus alive and well, look at the state of chaos the world is in. If Jesus never was, I don't think we would still be here. We would have all destroyed each other and ourselves.

Actually, he never existed.
The first writing about him came at least 10 years after his death presumed.
He is like Moses or Wilhelm Tell (hero of Switzerland) a figure of legend. But, the writing about these persons are such that every body believe that they have existed

Then we have to ask ourselves, who went around creating the various records of him. Those Romans were quite careful with their record keeping, too careful to allow for a mistake of including someone who never was. And all those historical documents that talk about him, where did they come from?!
