i want to make a long distance call to california and was wondering if i'll get charged if i call during my free night hours.or do i need a call card?

Yes, you can call California. Cell phones do not charge long distance and regard America as one. If you have a nights plan, its a free call to California after 9pm (if on the east coast.)

Dont waste ur money on a calling card when you dont need it.

Yes, you can call California after 9PM (EST) on T-Mobile network without being charged long-distance. I have T-Mobile and the unlimited Nights & Weekends starts at 9.
