No. People cheat for lots of reasons.

Sometimes a person might cheat because they are not getting something they want/need from their partner - usually emotional rather than sexual - and if they resolve that problem they won't look elsewhere.

Sometimes people cheat because they are with someone who is not right for them. I did this. But now I am with someone I totallly love and respect I have never cheated on him.

And sometimes people cheat as a genuine mistake. They get drunk or they arejust very physically attracted to someone and they cheat and then feel awful, regret it, learn the lesson and never do it agian.

That is far too simplistic.

I think everyone has the potential to be a cheater. It's not some trait that certain people posses, and not others.

People make mistakes, and they sometimes they learn from them, sometimes they do not. Some people do it once, and never again. Some people don't do it for years, and then they do.

Peopl want a set of rules they can apply to make all this easier, but that's impossible. You have to take it as it comes.

Not at all, I have always cheated on previous partners and by my own admission was an a**hole but since meeting my current partner who i have been with for 4 years and now have 2 children with i have been on the level, she is the one why would i spoil it. When you meet the right one nobody else matters. So not always a cheater.

I don't think that is always the case, but one this is for certain, is that if you get involved with a cheater, that will be in the back of your mind.

No..only cuz i think there is a lot of different reasons and scenarios that ppl are in when they "cheat" everyones story is different and people need to look at the grey area..its not always black and white. if a person is a "dog" sleeping around with a lot of different ppl while in a relationship and making the g/f b/f believe that they really do love them and are committed, then they need to seek help. that's just wrong.

Depends, someone could cheat in a previous relationship because things arent right but then go on to fall in love with and have the perfect relationship. However if they cheat in a relationship and then that person forgives them then I think they are more likely to cheat because they know they will be forgiven.

no..i dont think thats true because sometimes people change...sometimes a religious awakening or something can cause a person to turn his or her back on the evil things they have done in the past and they never do them again...but in my personal opinion a person who cheats and finds no higher power to help them change will probably always cheat...sometimes a person dosent find help from a higher power and they do change but in my opinion its unlikely without the help of a higher power

It really depends on the person - I hope not because if it is true then its only a matter a time before my partner does it again! Its taken me long enough to trust him - he cheated 7 years ago - I hope he doesn't have another seven year itch!!!!
