I let the actual music draw me in. If I like what I hear, I listen to the words. If the words are offensive, or I don't like them.. I won't listen to the song. But, if I do like the words, I will listen to the song by peices. One time I might listen to the bass, then the guitar, the the actual lyrics, etc...

I listen great music. Music that makes a person feel good. Music that can put you in the right mood. Music can be powerful and soulful.

depending on the sound, and the atmosphere, for example if I'm going out to party, I can listen to Lil' John, Ying Yang, to get me in the mood, but If I'm traveling a long drive, I prefer thoughtful music such as Indie Arie, Heather Headley, music from people who have meaning and is very soulful. Sometimes the beat is what gets me, I love a song with a great beat, like Cassie "Me and You" which is a very stupid song, and so is her new single "long way to go" but the beats are very catchy, but it just depends.

i listen to just about all music. so yea, i listen to good music. i gate rap because it isnt good musi it is simpliy annoying sound and beats with unmeaningful words.
