In about 1974 (I was 5) I had an inchworm that you could ride. It had 4 wheels and when weight was put on it it would "flatten" out a little and you could inch your way across the sidewalk. I cried when my dad accidently ran over it.
I also loved all my Evil Kanevil motorcycles with the rip cords on the back. They were so cool!
Rock em Sock em Robots
My pet rock (yes, I had one)
My skinny skateboard, if you could do tricks on one of those, you were the cat's meow!
Magic 8 ball
Looking at my list I am realizing how old I really am...thanks.

If the puppy is an competitive chewer there are not any truly indestructible toys even the Kong Extreme my Jacks have controlled to gouge portions out inside one use. I simply attempted Antlers that are totally tough and up to now so well they have got lasted four days however like whatever else they must be supervised.

First Bike! No helmets required back then! Freedom!
Legos were interesting, not sure what year they were introduced, played with friends, never owned them.
Etch-a-Sketch was that from that time period?
