if you go into a major department store they normally have a little brochure with lots of ideas which you can book there, ferrari driving, hot air balloon ride, day at the races, dinner at an exclusive restaurant etc. they start at £50 and upwards

Ask your boyfriend to find a picture of his dad from way back......maybe in a military uniform or dressed up for a special occasion.
Have the pic blown up and air brushed or even have your bf's pic superimposed onto the photo of his dad. Use your imagination to create a meaningful photo and then put it in a frame that compliments his dad's home or office.

find out what his hobbies are and buy him something to do with his hobby.....or you and your partner take him out for a nice meal somewhere £150 is well enough, what ever money you have left over, put it in his birthday card
