I found my fish on the carpet, apparently it had jumpet though a small opening in the back of the tank. It was dry and the fins were curled and dry aswell. I placed it back in the tank, it's been two days and its still alive... are there any special care / treatments that I could give it? It also has blood in one eye.
Thanks for any help.

I'm sorry to hear about your fish.

I would suggest getting it a stress coat from the pet store, but I honestly don't know if it'll help. I won't hurt though, if it's on it's way out, it should soothe it a bit.

A stress coat is a special gel that you add to the water. It coats the fish to releive stress and possibly allow for it to rebuild it's natural coating.

Also be sure you cover that hole to avoid any repeat performances.

oh yes, GET A TOP TO THE TANK. there are many fish prone to jumping (talk about suicide). some of these fish are guppies, mollies, sowardtails and most all other live bearers. my guppies try all of the time. i have 10 gallon tank with 1 grown female and 10 fry. at night i hear her splashing (she tries to jump all of the time) just get a hood.
