measurable goals in employment?

I am trying to write up measurable goals for myself in my employment for next year. I first need to know what does it mean for the goals to be measurable and some ideas or examples of these types of goals.

say that you do not have a job, your goal is to obtain a job. that is within reach of your goal a measurable goal.
say you want to become a millionaire that is unmeasurable goal in one year beyond the realm.
other words, things that can be accomplished within reason.
