Iran says they are ready to go. They also say they would wipe Israel off the map. What are they up to?

Bravado. They are worried about their own vulnerability and feel the best means of defence is attack.

Didn't they learn from Saddam and his thinly veiled threats. Its a serious business and playground threats don't wash.

Anyone who thinks they can drop a nuke on Israel without contaminating the surrounding area is about five beers short of a sixpack.

And if Iran thinks they can wipe Israel off the map using conventional weapons they are totally delusional. Since 1948 when the UN sanctioned Israel as a country there have been a lot of people who have tried to remove israel from the map. Israel is still there, right between Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Eqypt.

Either Allah or God (they are one in the same) doesn't favor the Arabs as much as they think he does or the children of Israel are still the chosen people. Or maybe he's just letting them fight it out like kids. What ever happens my money is on Israel. I like their recent record. Who ever attacks them gets a bloody nose.

Iranians are not Arabs, they are also (on the whole) well educated and logical people.Iran has always liked the British and thousands of them sent their children here to be educated. Only part of Iran are Muslim, a very great number are Christians or Ba`hai, I expect these people are being persecuted right now.It is since the 1970s` when the Ayatollahs took control that this hatred has come to the surface. No-body in Iran wants to attack Israel, they know that would be suicide.and remember it is only a short time ago that they came out of a seven year war with Iraq. Most of the threats are noise and wind. They don`t want to die anymore than anyone wants to, and they certainly don`t want to die from radio active fall out, which is what will happen if they or anyone else in the middle east decides to press the nukes button.

Iran wont attack anyone least of all Israel.. The Israelis have enough nuclear weapons to send Iran back to the stone age.. and given the antipathy between the two countries Israel would use first and ask questions later..

Iran is a terrorist state that has proclaimed that it wishes to destroy Israel. Nuclear weapons would give them the opportunity to do so, heaven forfend.

If Israel does indeed have a nuclear capability, it will use it only as a last resort, after a first strike by some other power.

Iran is the biggest threat to the West today, and their military capability must be curbed by the West.

In addition, individual terrorists must be eliminated--if necessary by engaging them and killing them.

Well they want to be the dominant power in the region, and spread their rigid, agressive form of Shia Islam. Hence their development of nuclear technology(peaceful my ***), interference in Iraq, Palestine and Lebanon etc. They want to create a Shia Islamic empire...Jews, Christians and Sunni Muslims in the mid east are standing in the way of that, as is the west.
