A nine year old girl is absolutely too young to wear lipstick.

Yes. Nine years old is too young. Lipstick is a way for a female too enhance her appearance. Sometimes for self and sometimes for the public. Most times for the opposite sex. There is no reason for a nine year old to want to wear lipstick for any of those reasons. None at all. This generation is exposed to so much now as opposed to past years. They think they are mature at a younger age. I remember when girls were twelve and thirteen before lipgloss and lipstick became an issue. That standard is dropping every year.

If the girl is playing dressup at home, then there's no problem with the lipstick. Otherwise, it is making a girl into an object of something she is not.
The pictures of Jon Benet Ramsey with all of her makeup still disgusts me. Let little girls be little girls! Let's not be in such a rush to make them women. Let the poor kid have a childhood!

No! She is just trying to look or feel older. Putting on lipstick is a "grown-up" thing to do so she's just trying to be older. She's getting to the age where you're not a little kid anymore and you just want to be older. It's not abnormal at all. Just let her for a little while but don't let her wear it to places like school or to a public assembly but to the grocery store or around the house is okay. <3

Yes, unless she's playing makeup or house or something. In my opinion 9 is to young to wear lipstick

Yes,playing at home is cool,even a little clear lip gloss is fine out in public,but not as an attraction device..

Yes it is if shes going out like this but if its only for dress up then no its fine shes only 9 thats what kids do.

not at all!! that's totally normal, and don't get surprised if she starts wearing high heel shoes or paint her nails among other things, but of course she must never leave the house like that, then it wouldn't be normal, but if she is just playing then it's fine.
