Barcelona's a nice place. Check out other people's photos on Flickr and the Rough Guide to Spain. Their main language is Catalan, not the Castillian spanish of most of spain and latin america, but I think everyone speaks Castillian spanish as well.
Seville in Spain is good too. It has old arab architecture, nice squares and restaurants, etc.
Amsterdam in the Netherlands (Holland) is a great place. The Dutch are really friendly, funny, laid-back people and nearly all of them speak English. Dutch food is nice.
While in Europe, see the stunning mountain scenery of Switzerland. There are cable-cars and mountain railways to get anywhere. Everything is so clean and neat you wouldn't believe it. The food is great. Interlaken is a good base.
Italy is really nice. The people are friendly. Both men and women are stylish and well-dressed. Every cliche that have about Italy is true. They're terrible drivers, lots of people ride motor-scooters, older italian men are fat, etc. Good ski resorts, pizza/pasta restaurants, wine, fantastic ice-cream. You'll never forget a day trip to venice. The architecture is amazing. Its like walking into an oil painting.
I've travelled to eastern europe (bulgaria, romania). Its like the borat movie. Some parts haven't changed much since the 1930's. There are horse-drawn vehicles on the roads. The people are friendly, the houses are single-storey with gardens full of animals, chickens, fruit trees and vegatables, etc. The roads are crumbly. The cars are old. There are some cheap beach resorts with night clubs etc (one is called sunny beach). Wages are very low, so you're rich in comparison.
Germany has nice scenery (fields and forests), most young people and hotel/restaurant staff speak some English. The food and beer is great. The trains run precisely on time. Zis is gut I am thinking, ja!
I like rural France, but it appeals more to older people. We spent some time cruising on the canals through little villages. The food and wine and cheeses are good. The French ignore you completely if you don't speak French, but light up when you speak some French to them.
If you can, I would travel around on a rail-pass before deciding which place you want to settle in. Wherever you decide, it pays dividends to learn a little of the local language.

First of all, how do you get to transport to the states besides? I realize plenty of individuals from europe who can not. however on your query. In America the telephone reception is customarily very unhealthy (plenty of dropped calls). So don't assume exceptional reference to any provider. Verizon nevertheless(in part owned via Vodafone), does have the first-class total connection. ATT and T-Mobile customarily are available in moment and Sprint is available in final for my part. People might disagree with me approximately that. However, preserve in brain that in case you plan to preserve your eu cellphone mobilephone which will have to be unlocked, it's going to handiest paintings with ATT or T-Mobile. They are the one primary companies that do use sim playing cards. Verizon and Sprint don't and all companies right here regularly lock their telephones to their community. In phrases of offers I could don't forget the next networks. Check the internet sites for ATT, T-Mobile and Verizon. Verizon's fees are the worst, so that you will have to don't forget that. ATT's fees are similar to Verizon, however they do provide you rollover mins (unused mins are transferred to the following month) and your calls are unfastened to any person who's with ATT. Even although different vendors have this carrier as good, it's extra useful with ATT because that is the supplier with probably the most subscribers. T-Mobile does now not have unfastened T-Mobile to T-Mobile mins, however their fees are the first-class total and so they do have a developing community. They are presently strolling a promoting. a million,000 mins for $forty. It beats any person elses fee and this precise won't final lengthy. They additionally cost much less for different offerings than such a lot different vendors. So I could in my opinion advocate T-Mobile to you. I consider that they provide you probably the most to your cash and so they do have higher purchaser carrier than such a lot different vendors.
