I went to Chevron the other day and it took a very long time to fill my car up with gas. I left the station and my car started bucking and then died and would not restart. I want to know if this has happened to anyone else and, if so, how they went about dealing with the company to be reimbursed for the damage to their car. I paid with cash and do not have a receipt and they say there is no video showing I was at that station. Any advice on what I should do?

The reason it took so long to fill the tank was because you were draining the bottom of the tank... If the gas station is old or older it may have the old style tanks that allow ground water or moisture to build up in them... what happens is you get water in the gas, I think thats what happen to you... unless you have proof of purchase you have no case... unless you had debt records or could prove a pattern that you buy gas there regular you have no case... I heard of it happening to a taxi company and a certain gas station, because the cab company kept records the gas station had to repair all the cabs, it cost them big time and they had to repair the tanks... it was millions...
my suggestion to you is to first get a couple bottles or three of gas line antifreeze, add them to your tank then try to start the car... if it fails to start, open up the breather or throttle body hose and try a quick start solution... change the fuel filter asap...
Never buy gas from an old station
always buy your gas from the same station you trust and keep your receipt

Are you sure you didn't just put diesel in by mistake? There is probably no damage to your car, you just need to drain the fuel tank and fill up with petrol then run some injector cleaner through the system. Try this before anything else, or at least see what the fuel smells like...

if you do not regularly fill at chevron there may be some compatibility issues with other brands, i always run chevron in my truck but had to fill up at a shell, what a mistake ! my truck started to run terrible i had to put in alcohol and octane boost just to get it to run, i know that when i go to drive it again in summer i will have to clean my injectors and replace the fuel filter once or twice, so keep hitting it with methyl hydrate and octane booster and change out the filters once or twice. good luck

Most likely not bad gas, what most likely happened is the cold gas hitting the hot fuel pump caused the fuel pump to go out, and this happens when you run it empty before filling.
