I mean, for one thing, most Police investigators and Crime Scene detectives arent that "attractive." And they portray the show in a manner that makes it seem like a walk in the park to be a part of that field. I personally think the real detective shows that come on Discovery Channel and Court TV are better.

Not necessarily "stupid", a bit far fetched maybe. Remember it's just entertainment. I will tell you that the equipment and technology is really there but there aren't really any local law enforcement agencies (local) who can afford the funding to operate such a lab or staff it with the required geniuses to utilize the equipment. They just want the average Joe to think that's how it easy it is to get caught. DNA still takes several weeks to sample and confirm, with a n ample amount much less a drop or swab.

It's a matter of opinion. Depending on the kind of movies or shows you like. I for one like CSI because no matter who the person is.....if you commit a crime you get caught. At least most people anyway. The way they dress or look has a part to play in Hollywood. Remember it is still a TV show and is made pertaining to Hollywood. Have you watched The Closure? It's a good show and similar to CSI. Maybe it may be more to your liking.

When I want reality TV I watch the crime dramas on A&E, American Justice and City Confidential. I watch CSI for entertainment purposes only...that is what they are for.
Labs aren't that high tech, CSI never question victims or suspects...that is all Hollywood.
Don't expect too much out of it and you won't be dissapointed.

It's made to look easy for the viewer's entertainment. How do you know most real CSI's aren't that attractive? Anyway, it's my favorite show. But whatever floats your boat. I also like the detective shows on Court TV, especially Forensic Files. I want to be an investigator myself.

I don't really care for CSI. I think Law & Order SVU & Criminal Intent much better. It's a matter of personal preference though about Crime shows. Some love them and some hate them.

cold case is better, many of the cases on CSI wouldn't even be investigated by a real police force. just filed away, what town is going to spend time & money finding out that stuff.

Apparently you have not seen the shown because they do show some very gorey things. What other show traces the path of a bullet through someone's body? I like CSI.

Only CSI: Miami - have you ever noticed that the red-headed dude (David somebody-or-other) ALWAYS stands with his hands on his hips pushing his jacket backwards? He can't ACT!!
