It depends on your skin color. If you are white you will look better mixing it with bright to dark colors, but also may use white. If you are dark you will look better with bright to light colors, and a hit is white. In this case wear khaki away from your face, just pants or skirt, never blouse or blazer....khaki is an enemy of brown girls, but if you insist...

You can wear almost any color with khaki's. There are so many different shades of a khaki pant that you may want to wear the khaki's when you go shopping and just try on different colored tops. Black, white and red will work with any shade of khaki, so those are always good to look for.

Khaki is great because you can wear them with browns, taupe's, black, etc, for neutral look and fuchsia, reds, turquoise, purples. for an eye-popping statement. They look great with button down shirts, blazers, yet still stand up to sweaters and silk blouses.
Match a denim blazer and boots for a more modern feel, and the next day wear a silk blouse and well cut wool blazer and you will have an entirely different look.
All good wardrobes should have slacks in black, khaki, chocolate brown, and navy to build on. You are on the right track. Check out the store windows and displays to get great ideas.

I really like black with khaki..and some black shoes..but, if you want to add some color, I'd go with a deep red and either black OR brown shoes...you can pretty much wear anything with khaki..including white!

Khaki goes with everything; darker colors look best. In my opinion, black looks the sharpest.

Anything but similar shades. No beiges, browns, taupes, etc.
Why? Well, note the guy on the left in this picture,

from "Trailer Park Boys."
It's a bit too uniform-y, never mind bland.
