Some questions or statements you dont need sources for. Its just an obvious fact that Repulbicans would not work with Democrats had they won house and Senate. Hell, Rumsfeld would still probably be in office. And Rush Limbaugh would be mouthing off as he always does.
by the way, im an Independant.

They have not worked with the Democratic Party since they took over in 1994. Think how they shut the government down twice , the whole whitewater investigation that led to an attempt to impeach President Clinton. It goes on and on of how they stuck to their agenda with no regard to the Democrats. Now that the Democrats are in power they are going all mansy pansy they should immediately launch investigations into this most corrupt of administration's doings for the last six years.

Well, if you would (or can, depending on age) remember back to when Democrats were last in power in the House and Senate, they didn't want to work with the Republican minority. Heck, even as a minority they didn't like working with Republicans. But the basic truth is, the party in power wants to fulfill their agenda, not the agenda of the other party, and since the parties are different there agendas tend to be different. This results in disagreements, and the party in power can often get its way (and because it can, it does).

Doesn't really have to do with Democrats or Republicans, just the "have" and "have nots."

As for Rumsfeld, it wouldn't be the end of the world if he were still in office. Considering that the Iraq conflict is one of the best run wars in world history, he seems to have done a rather decent job (he could, of course, have been more sympathetic, but if it is a choice between sympathy and competence, I'll take competence.)

I don't think Republicans want to cooperate with Democrats, what they mean is they want the Dems to cooperate with them so they can continue with their agenda. They won't be able to get anything done now with Dems in the majority, but Dems still won't be able to get much done with Bush in the whitehouse. Dems have to be careful for the next 2 yrs so they don't get blamed for the failure of this administration. Dems major need now is to get through these 2 yrs without losing support so that they can elect a Dem president, make more gains in congress, and be able to straighten out this mess that the Reps have created. The policies of the 2 parties are so different now that I don't see how cooperation is possible.

Rush is more popular than ever.
Critics like you get more people to listen to him.
Over 20 million patriotic Americans listen to him everyday.
The Democrat party has hundreds of staffers listening to Rush everyday, so they will know what's going on in the country.
(If you are an independent, I hate to see someone who was dependent.)

Yep...the only way Republicans will work with any one is to be slapped in the face with a nasty election. They are an arrogant bunch aren't they!??
