i say guns n roses but my friends say others so whats your opinion. when thinking about it, take into account albums released, how these albums did on the charts, # of albums sold, records set and how the group has changed or influenced rock and roll, and how hard they rocked. as we all know GN'R was the biggest band of the ninties.
heres a few choices: Guns n' roses, aerosmith, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, the who, nirvana.
you of course are not limited to these groups for i dont want to limit your chioces. so tell me who is the greatest rock band ever?

Gun's n' Roses had the opportunity to the be the greatest rock band ever, but psycho Axl screwed it up for the rest of the band.
Metallica was also in the running for a while, but Hetfield and Ulrich started believing their own hype, and they eventully just became corporate and annoying.
Nirvana sucked a s s and they were never really viable option.
I say Aerosmith. Those guys have rocked for almost as long as I've been alive, and their music is still relevant today. They are still together in their original lineup and nobody's dead (yet). They still look good (unlike the Stones), sound awesome, and sell out every venue where they perform. Aerosmith are the only truly American iconic rock band.

The bands you listed are literally not crappy, that is all about the guy and in a good number of cases what technology they a from. My prominent band adjustments plenty and on the prompt i'm feeling Flyleaf and my recent obsesion Bullet For My Valentine. BTW they're rock what else are they going to be if not? What isn't rock is the Jonas Brothers and Hannah Montana. they are not even close.

Alot of the ppl i know would say Metallica! But im a Red Hot Chili Peppers fan! Im not sure if u can classify their music as rock but they've been around for ages and they still bringing out more songs which are still good enough to play on mtv!
