You pc has a delay because you have too many programs that start up with your pc starts up. For example when you start your Does your aol messenger log in come up on the screen even though you haven't even logged on yet?
What happens is when you add programs and have them start up when you start the pc. The pc will search for those programs to and bring them up before it will allow you to connect to the internet.
One way to eliminate this problem is to remove these programs then reinstall them but don't have them start when the pc starts put them on your desk top for convience.
Hope that helps

so so does my computer when you first turn it on right? but if its been on standby it wakes up and is normal? I don't know if its anything other then the computer itself, (analogue-when you get up in the morning and jump up and start the day? i don't but if you just took a short nap is it not easier to get started becuase your almost already ready?) I don't think its a fixable problem just how some pc are made. I have XP home edition and the operating system might also affect it.

There r 2-3 reasons
1. RAM IS LOW
2. So many softwares
r loaded.
3. Defrage your c: drive
and remove the option that check box "auto lounch application on startup.
If u have the software "ccleare" then run it.
Or download it for free on download.Com
good luck dude.

Start -- > Run --> Type msconfig and click ok. In the window click the tab StartUp uncheck the list of programs you don't need and then restart the comp.
