Find out the type of perfume the person likes because if you buy one that thy don't like the smell of it will just be a waste of money. It is a very individual thing

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Issey Miyake. His fragrances for Men or Women are amazing! (Especially the men's fragrance!) I used to be a big Armani fan until I smelled the Issey Miyake, (talk about making me weak in the knees!) The women's smells very, very nice also! Look it up online to find a local retailer. The good thing about these scents is, not too many know about Issey Miyake.... So, you'll seem to be up on your gift giving game!! Good Luck!

It's a very personal thing. If you can figure out what sort of fragrance they normally wear then people in a department store will be able to steer you towards something similar but different. If you see what I mean. .

I would ask the lady's family if they know what her favourite perfume is. If that's no good, go for something quite "neutral" (ie not too spicy, flowery etc) like Hugo Boss' woman. One of my fave's.

every one likes something different. Age makes a difference too. I like CK 1 and Elle by emporio armani. Wish some one would buy me some :-/
